Today Mr. Inhofe gave a great opening statement (see here), then Mr. Inhofe goes in for
the kill by asking Mr. Gore to take a pledge that he would reduce his home’s energy
consumption to no more than that of the average American home within one year.  Mr.
Gore refused to take the pledge.  The Environment and Public Work’s release account

In my humble opinion this is just Al Gore’s springboard for a presidential campaign.  What a
waste of taxpayer resources it will be  if Al Gore wins based on this platform.  Billions of
dollars that should go toward making our country safer for our children and their children,
will instead be spent on nonsense.

Momentum is shifting away from scientific theories bolstering “anthropocentric” (human-centered) models of global warming and toward skeptics who do not see a link between human activity and rising temperatures, Inhofe told the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

 Scientists who questioned mankind’s impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.They say the debate on global warming has been “hijacked” by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.
